Ecuador has begun to implement a project to build climate resilience and enhance
food security in four provinces. The project links local communities and authorities,
several arms of the national government and the United Nations World Food
Programme. Its two-pronged approach is developing community awareness and
concrete plans for adaptation actions, set within an ecosystem-based approach.
