Coverage of the Foundation’s side event at COP24, Building Capacity for Integrating Human Rights into Climate Action, co hosted with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Paris Committee on Capacity Building. Tara Shine, consultant with the Foundation, and Agnes Leina, of Il’laramatak Community Concerns, spoke on the needs for the voices of indigenous people and women to be heard clearly at all levels of decision making and climate action, as well as a call for a human rights focal point – IISD.
