Jennifer McElwain is Professor of Plant Palaeobiology and Palaeoecology in UCD School of Biology and Environmental Science and member of UCD Earth Institute.
She is the director of PEAC (Program for Experimental Atmospheres and Climate) and chair of UCD Rosemount Environmental Research Station’s management committee. She has been awarded numerous Irish (SFI, HEA, IRC), European (ERC, Marie Sklodowska Curie) and US (NSF) research grants and currently runs a lab of twelve PhD and Postdoctoral researchers at UCD. Jennifer is a Research Associate of the Field Museum and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Northwestern University, USA.
