The European Forum Alpbach is an annual meeting involving, inter alia, politicians, academics and students, who come together to discuss and brainstorm new ideas and solutions to world problems The theme for 2011 is “Justice – Responsibility for the Future”.
One of the main events during the sixteen-day forum, the Political Symposium, took place Sunday 28th August under the heading “International Law – Global Equity” and focussed on current issues in the creation and implementation of international law and put the question of global fairness at the centre of debates among high-ranking politicians, researchers, journalists and activists.
Mary Robinson delivered the keynote lecture, entitled
“Challenges and Opportunities of Climate Justice”.
